Genesee Country Village and Museum

Just 20 miles from Rochester, history comes alive. The museum is housed on more than 700 acres of rural land in scenic Mumford, N.Y. There's plenty to do and see during your visit to the 19th century!

You'll see demonstrations of crafts and trades commonly practiced in the 1800s in America and learn about details of day-to-day life on the farm and in the city. You can even get an in-depth look at special topics and take part in hands-on learning opportunities throughout the museum.

All you have to do is show your RARES ID card at the admissions gate or at the museum shop to save:

2011 pricing

Just show your RARES ID card:

$3.00 discount on adult admission (17+), regularly $15.00, only $12.00.
$1.00 discount on youth admission (ages 4-16), regularly $9.00, only $8.00. Children 3 and under, free.
5% discount on all purchases in the retail stores with your RARES ID.

Some special events such as War of 1812, 4th of July, Civil War, Laura Ingalls Wilder Days, Agricultural Fair and the Fiddler's Fair where admission is $1 more, the discount will still be $3 off.

For programs such as the Maple Sugar Sap & Syrup gathering each Spring, and other programs where reservations are required there is no discounted admission.

Either leave behind a RARES ID card for the manager to follow-up with (you can always obtain another from your HR/Benefits Rep at work), or refer them to our web site.
