Seminars & Special Events

Part of the mission of RARES is to provide our members with education and information related to Human Resources, Employee Motivation, and Employee Development.

Throughout the course of each year, the Professional Development Committee of RARES, in conjunction with our training and management development partners such as the XLR8 Team and others, presents seminars (usually free) to assist our members and their companies in meeting the needs of a changing workplace.

Do note that while all of our seminars are open to the general public, this page may not be updated with all seminars RARES is presently offering to its membership. Contact the RARES office for a full listing.

And we also occasionally have fun as well - such as our annual Behind the Seams tour, dinner, and game at Frontier Field.

RARES works jointly with the Genesee Valley Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management to offer and promote events of importance to the HR community.

RARES members may register for GVCSHRM events at the GVCSHRM member rate to explore the wonderful benefits of this HR organization.

Surviving Today's Economic Turmoil: Practical steps to preserve your workforce and cut costs

Information on how to implement an alternative to layoffs, The NYS Department of Labor's Shared Work Program. Discover an approach to retaining skilled workers and maintain morale through a creative application of Unemployment Insurance regulations.
